Hulk
There is no purer character to stand for sheer physical strength than the Hulk. Other characters such as Thor and Sentry may be just as strong. Superman would be stronger. But all these others have strength as an aspect of themselves and their powers. The Hulk’s brute might stands as his only resource.
The reason I read the Hulk is because sometimes I just want to lash out like a crazy person and I can’t because I am a civilized member of an ordered society, and the jails here stink and what would my parents say? So I pick up the Hulk and live vicariously through him while he destroys an entire army base or the Abomination or the army base and the Abomination.
