Cooking Instructions

  1. Peel shrimp but leave tail intact to hold for dipping.
  2. De-vein and cut halfway through so that the shrimp won't curl when cooked.
  3. Marinate the shrimp in salt and calamansi juice. Set .
  4. Combine egg and cold water.
  5. Add all the other ingredients for the batter and mix.
  6. Combine all the sweet and sour sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Mix and bring to a boil.
  7. Thicken sweet and sour sauce with dissolved cornstarch.
  8. Dip shrimp in batter and deep fry in hot oil.
