Ingredients for the Syrup

Cooking Instructions for the Yema

  1. Combine all ingredients and cook until mixture is thick.
  2. Set aside to cool.
  3. When cool begin shaping small candy sized pieces. The classic shape is little balls. the new shape is little pyramids. The right shape is whatever you want.
  4. Deep each shape into the syrup (see below) and allow to cool.

Cooking Instructions for the Syrup

  1. Blend sugar, water, and cream of tartar.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil in a saucepan until caramel colored.
