By this life I mean Steve Newman's life. Steve is the head of a dysfunctional family. I'm not saying it's not partly his fault but the fact remains that he is the head of a dysfunctional family. It's been building up since the first issue and there's more of it here. He's kids only seem remotely human, he's wife feels nothing for him; the only time Steve feels truly alive is when he's with he's collectables. He's hobby brings a lot of joy into his life. Ring a bell?
This issue, that other world I was talking about comes ever closer to Steve. For the first time we see him put on the costume of a golden-age futuristic hero called the Coffin Fly. Once again writer David Hine uses a comic within a comic. The comic inside Bulletproof Coffin is called Sheild of Justice and its pretty good. By the end of this issue, Steve is able to move into another reality, another life - the world of the Coffin Fly and his ride - the Bulletproof Coffin.
